Travel Tryout Dates Announced!

The tryout dates for Pendleton FC travel soccer will be June 9th for ages U9 and U10, and June 16th for ages U11 and up.

On Wednesday, April 18th, all players, parents, families and fans are invited to gather at Buffalo Wild Wings (1808 Applewood Center Drive). On this day, 15% of all food purchases accompanied by the fund raising flier will be donated to PYSA / Pendleton FC.

Pendleton FC / PYSA Board Meetings

The Pendleton FC / PYSA Board of Directors meet on the second Tuesday of every month. The meetings start at 6:30 PM and are held at Maple Ridge Elementary School. The public is invited to attend.

The Board of Directors would like to thank Maple Ridge for allowing us to use their facility to host our meetings. We would also like to thank 3rd Generation Pizza for becoming the official sponsor of the monthly Board meetings.

Pendleton FC Travel Soccer

The Pendleton FC travel soccer season officially kicked-off on Saturday, April 10th. Pendleton FC will be fielding eight travel teams for the Spring 2010 season ranging in age from U9 to U16. Visit the Travel page at www.pendletonfc.org for more information.

Game schedules for all of the Pendleton FC travel teams are available for download on the Pendleton FC web site. Or, you can download the complete Pendleton FC travel home game schedule by clicking here. We would like to encourage everybody to come out to our home games and cheer for the home team. Go Arabians!!!!

Tryouts for the Fall 2010 Pendleton FC travel teams will be held in June. Please check back around the middle of May for more information on the specific dates and times.

Rec Season Starts This Weekend!!!!!

The official kick-off of the Spring 2010 Rec season is this Saturday, April 17th. The Rec game schedules are available for download on the Rec page of the Pendleton FC web site. Please remember that a minimum of two adults from all Rec teams are required to work a hour shift in the concession stand during the season. The concession stand schedule is available for download HERE.

Don't forget that snack packs are available for purchase through the concession stand for a nominal fee. Please contact Andrea Pershing if you would like to order your team snacks through the concession stand. All team snack pack orders must be submitted at least one week advance. Travel Soccer Interest Meeting

Parents and Players,

First, I want to be clear that this meeting is not meant to recruit any players who have already committed to another travel club and is only meant for those players who are interested in playing soccer this spring and have not committed to another club.

Pendleton FC is holding an interest meeting this weekend for all parents with children ages U8 and older who are interested in Travel Soccer for their child. Information about Travel Soccer and the meeting is below. We are hoping to expand our travel program from 4 teams to at least 8 teams in the Spring and we need families who are interested in more competitive soccer to participate. In addition to our travel teams we have an academy program for the U8 and U9 aged players that is meant to be competitive and advanced development for players. If you are not sure about your interest and just want to see what it is about, please plan to attend.

About Travel Soccer: The Pendleton FC Travel Soccer Program was designed to provide an opportunity for athletes from the U8 to U18 age groups to play in a more competitive environment and to further enhance their skill development. The Pendleton FC Travel teams currently participate in the Greater Indianapolis Regional League of Soccer (Girls) and the Central Indiana Youth Soccer League (Boys). The Travel teams play an 8 game schedule per season, with both a Fall and Spring season each calendar year. Travel teams also have the opportunity to participate in tournaments throughout the year. Pendleton FC Travel Soccer is open to all children aged U8 to U18 provided there are enough players in their specific age group to form a team.

Mail-In Registrations

To all players and their families,

Due to technical difficulties we were unable to open our online registration as early as we would have liked so the board has voted to rescind our earlier decision and accept registrations by mail. We hope every player will now have a chance to register and play during this 2009 fall season.

The registration deadline remains at July 31st - all mailed-in registrations must be postmarked by July 31st or they will not be accepted.

FALL REGISTRATION

PYSA/Pendleton FC will be at Just 4 Kicks Indoor Sports on Saturday June 20th, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon, and again on Saturday July 11th, from 12:00 Noon to 4:00 PM conducting on-site registration for the Fall 2009 Pendleton Youth Soccer Association outdoor soccer season.

PYSA will NOT be accepting mail-in registration for the Fall season. All players must be registered in person or online through the Pendleton FC web site.

Due to circumstances beyond PYSA's control, the online registration will not be available until sometime after June 20th.

Just 4 Kicks Indoor Sports is located at 6511 South S.R. 67 in Pendleton.

Coaching Education In Pendleton!

Pendleton FC/PYSA will be hosting Youth Module 1, Youth Module 2, and Youth Technical Certificate clinics at Maple Ridge Elementary on Saturday April 18th. Maple Ridge Elementary is located at 8537 S. 650 W., in Pendleton, IN.

The Youth Module 1 and Youth Module 2 clinics are scheduled to begin at 1:00 PM. Content of youth modules is same as the US Youth Soccer National Youth License and is age specific. The course duration is approximately three hours.

The Youth Module 1 focuses on the U6 and U8 age groups.
The Youth Module 2 focuses on the U10 and U12 age groups.

Focus of youth modules is the parent coach that has little or no experience in the game of soccer. The course offers "hands on" activities as well as covering characteristics of children, philosophy, organizing a lesson plan, care and prevention, and risk management. There is no testing.

Cost for the Youth Module 1 and Youth Module 2 are free for all member organizations of Indiana Youth Soccer. Non-member organizations fee is $25 per coach.

The Youth Technical Certificate clinic is scheduled to start at 3:30 PM. Content of this course is the same as the USSF F Certificate and is geared for the U9-U13 age groups. The course duration is approximately five hours.

The course will instruct coaches with philosophy, characteristics of children, care and prevention, risk.management, organizing a training session, and "hands on" activities. There is no testing.

Cost is free for coaches of member organizations of Indiana Youth Soccer. Non-members cost is $55 per coach.

Spring Indoor Soccer

Pendleton FC/PYSA has had a few inquiries about late registration for the Spring 2009 outdoor soccer season. Unfortunately, registration for the Spring season has closed and rosters have already been assigned. It would be impossible for Pendleton FC/PYSA to accept late registrations at this time. However, an alternative does exist for those of you who missed registration for the Spring season.

Just 4 Kicks Indoor Sports, located at 6511 South SR 67 in Pendleton, is currently trying to form teams for an indoor soccer league that will play this Spring. For more information, you can click here to visit the Just 4 Kicks web site, or you can give them a call at (765) 778-4046.

PYSA (PendletonFC) Updates for Spring 2009 Season

Parents, Players, Coaches and Referees,

The Spring 2009 season is quickly approaching and we are looking forward to another terrific soccer season. Here are initial dates and information we want to share in preparation for the upcoming season.

Field Setup March 14 and 15:
We will setup fields at Maple Ridge Elementary and this year we will have practice fields at East Elementary. Any volunteers able to help setup the fields by moving goals, placing benches and lining fields will be appreciated.
Maple Ridge Elementary setup starts at 9a on Saturday, March 14
East Elementary setup starts at 1p on Sunday, March 15

Mandatory Coaches Meeting:
All Coaches - Rec, Rec+ and Travel
Saturday, March 21st, 8:30a-10a at Just4Kicks
Coaches will be contact to confirm you are assigned a team. If you volunteered to coach during registration as a head or assistant coach, please save this date and plan to attend. Schedules, rosters, concession responsibilities, background checks and other important information will be discussed.

Meet the Coach Day for MicroKickers through U8:
Parents and coaches reserve this time. Sunday afternoon, March 22nd, time and location to be determined

PYSA Spring '09 Registration

Registration for the Spring 2009 season is now OPEN!!

You can register your child at Just 4 Kicks on Saturday, January 24th, from 12 noon until 4:00 PM. Registration forms will be available on site, or you can download copies of the registration form and medical release form by clicking here. You can then bring the completed forms with you to the on site registration, or mail the completed forms (with payment) to PYSA. Click here for more information.
